About the Gillespies San Diego Portrait & Wedding Photographers

Sara and Stephen Gillespie are lifelong photographic artists and were both born and raised in San Diego.

Each grew up in the world of photography starting at a very early age. For the last decade the Gillespies have been recognized as the top wedding team in San Diego. They are referred by the most exclusive hotels and vendors in San Diego, including Rancho Valencia, the Four Seasons Aviara, La Valencia, Estancia La Jolla, the Hotel Del Coronado and L'Auberge Del Mar.

The Gillespies work together to give your wedding the most creative and exciting wedding day coverage available. The Gillespies have had the honor to photograph many people and couples from all walks of life, and are proud to have their images hang in homes all over the world. The Gillespie's unique studio is located in a historic art colony near San Diego. It is also a beautiful, natural wildlife preserve. Their home studio, and gallery, with its private forested and tropical settings has been designed with brick and stone pathways that meander from one flower garden to another with old retro toys, tricycles and bicycles, antiques, and many other fun and natural props. For more formal portrait studies they have their famous "tree-house" studio set high among the trees, with its many creative window light settings.
